ADC Criticizes Tinubu's Administration as Incompetent

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Thursday, criticizing President Bola Tinubu's administration as the "most incompetent government in Nigeria's history." Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC spokesperson, pointed to significant fiscal confusion and repeated policy reversals as evidence of poor governance. The ADC noted that for the first time in Nigeria's history, the government is attempting to implement three budgets simultaneously, with overall execution rates hovering below 30%.

Abdullahi rejected the government's explanation regarding budget overlaps, asserting that 70% of the 2026 budget remains unaddressed. He also highlighted that the Ministry of Defence recorded the highest budget performance at 113.45%, attributed to emergency funding amid ongoing security challenges.

The ADC's statement underscored the alarming situation, especially in light of recent reports indicating that 500 Nigerians were killed by terrorists in March alone across several states, including Borno and Yobe.
