ADC Criticizes Tinubu's Government as Most Incompetent

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government, calling it the "most incompetent in Nigeria's history." In a statement issued on Thursday by the party's national secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, they accused the federal government of running three national budgets simultaneously without effective implementation. The ADC reported that the 2024 budget rollout and the 2025 capital release remain extremely low, with only 17.7 percent of the capital budget released by the third quarter of 2025, and overall implementation reportedly below 30 percent.

They dismissed the government's explanation for the situation as misleading, asserting that 30 percent of the 2025 budget is expected to run from February to November 2026. The ADC criticized the poor funding of essential sectors such as education and health, while noting that the defense ministry exceeded its budget allocation significantly.

They also highlighted worsening insecurity despite increased spending and alleged that the government is prioritizing political power and re-election strategies over addressing pressing national issues like poverty and insecurity.
