Erika Alvarez Defends Ramses Amid Giants Game Backlash

Erika Alvarez, known online as “mom of the year,” defended her husband Ramses after a clip from the San Francisco Giants game on September 22 against the Minnesota Twins went viral. During the broadcast, commentators Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper joked about Alvarez managing her baby and food, leading to criticism directed at Ramses.

In a Substack post on September 25, Alvarez clarified that she had left her seat during the fifth inning to use the restroom, while Ramses offered to take their daughter, Anastasia. She chose to keep the baby due to the chilly weather and changed her nappy.

Alvarez sent Ramses a photo of the food menu and returned with brisket sandwiches and loaded fries. She noted that Ramses was grieving the recent loss of a childhood friend, a baseball player, and that she suggested the game as a way for him to remember his friend.

Alvarez emphasized that their relationship should not be judged based on a brief clip and praised Ramses as an amazing husband and father.
