Mother of Three Seeks Help for Breast Cancer Surgery

Odunola Adegok, a 37-year-old private school teacher and mother of three from Lagos, has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma as of April 2024. Her diagnosis came shortly after she stopped breastfeeding her third child, when she noticed her breast had become hard and swollen.

After undergoing six chemotherapy sessions, she had to halt treatment due to financial constraints, leading to a worsening condition. By 2025, she returned to the hospital with severe pain, only to learn that the cancer had spread to her liver.

Despite borrowing money to continue chemotherapy, she has spent N3 million so far and is unable to afford the recommended mastectomy, which is estimated to cost N6 million. Adegok has exhausted her resources and is appealing to the public for donations to save her life.

She has stopped working since October last year and has provided her Access Bank account details for those willing to assist.
