Move to sack Imo PDP exco effort in futility – Party spokesperson

The Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dismissed as futile the alleged court action seeking to sack the party's executive committee. Party spokesperson Lancelot Obiaku stated that the move would not succeed, as the current leadership was legally constituted.

He highlighted that the State Congress, which produced the present executive, was held in accordance with the party's timetable and supervised by the national leadership. Obiaku emphasized that the process was transparent, with no opposition or parallel congress.

He described the petition seeking nullification as frivolous and laughable, noting that the individual behind it had been expelled for alleged indiscipline. The PDP spokesperson expressed confidence in the party's unity and strength, despite attempts to distract its focus.
