MSME Awards Showcase Tinubu's Economic Growth Commitment

The MSME Awards, held at the State House in Abuja, were described by Information Minister Mohammed Idris as a clear demonstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's unwavering commitment to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector, which is foundational to Nigeria's economic prosperity. The awards recognized outstanding entrepreneurs and reflected the federal government's determination to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and generate employment.

The Minister highlighted a strategic intervention involving the disbursement of a 1 billion naira grant to 1,000 beneficiaries, emphasizing that direct financial support would empower entrepreneurs to reinvest in their enterprises. Vice President Kashim Shettima also attended, representing the administration's commitment to driving inclusive economic growth.

The awards are part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to replace material prizes with business grants ranging from 500,000 to 3 million naira, addressing the need for working capital to expand businesses.
