MTN Nigeria Announces Service Disruption in 3 States for Fiber Maintenance

MTN Nigeria announced a temporary service disruption in Adamawa, Borno, and Kano states on Saturday, August 23, affecting subscribers for fiber maintenance. The company stated that the work would impact 101 sites across 15 local government areas, affecting both individual subscribers and enterprise customers using 2G, 3G, and 4G services.

The maintenance aimed to replace damaged infrastructure and improve service quality and network reliability. MTN apologized to customers for any inconvenience caused, emphasizing the need for the upgrade to address challenges like fiber cuts due to construction activities and vandalism.

Airtel Nigeria also faced similar challenges, with an average of 43 fiber cuts daily.
