Muslim-Muslim Ticket: ‘Only Death, Serious Health Issues Can Stop Tinubu’s Re-election’ – Ojo

Political analyst Ojo believes that only death or serious health issues can prevent President Tinubu's re-election in 2023. Ojo describes Tinubu as a master strategist who made the decision to adopt a Muslim-Muslim ticket based on clear political calculations and opinion polls.

Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State, is said to understand the appeal of this ticket to the Christian minority regions. Ojo highlights Tinubu's strategic approach to managing alliances by keeping potential rivals close and offering them positions to prevent them from joining the opposition.

Despite criticisms, Ojo points out that Tinubu has made progress in areas such as improved electricity supply, healthcare, and agriculture. However, the Northern Ethnic Nationality Forum has cautioned the ruling party, APC, about the importance of inclusivity in forming a balanced presidential ticket to strengthen national cohesion and electoral viability.

The group warns that repeating the Muslim-Muslim ticket strategy in 2027 could be costly for the party.
