Plateau Governor Mutfwang Distributes 70 Transformers

On Wednesday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State announced the distribution of 70 transformers to various communities within the state. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance electricity supply and expand access to power, especially for vulnerable and underserved communities.

Mutfwang highlighted that the distribution includes 55 transformers initially approved by the government, with an additional 15 units added in response to growing demand. He emphasized that improving power supply is crucial for economic growth, small business development, job creation, and overall quality of life.

The governor also discussed the mobilization of a 132kVA transmission line project that will serve the southern and central senatorial zones, with financial backing already secured. Mutfwang assured that Plateau State aims to become a net seller of energy in the future, supported by investments in solar and renewable energy sources.

The event was attended by government officials, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders who commended the governor's proactive approach to strengthening the state's power infrastructure.
