Afrobeats superstar Davido surprised his former signee Mayorkun with a Tesla Cybertruck, sharing the moment on his Instagram Story with the message, "My gift to you, I love you." Mayorkun, whose real name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, acknowledged the gesture on his own Instagram Story, reflecting their strong bond despite Mayorkun's departure from Davido Music Worldwide in 2021. The Tesla Cybertruck, known for its futuristic stainless steel body, retails in the U.S. for between $69,990 and $99,990, making the gift's value significant in Nigerian naira.

Mayorkun was signed to Davido's label in 2016 after Davido discovered him through a cover video he posted online. Their professional relationship flourished over five years, culminating in Mayorkun's debut album release in 2018.
