Otti Reports 414 Roads Built, 60% Debt Reduction in Abia

During a monthly media chat on Friday night, Abia State Governor Alex Otti disclosed that his administration has constructed 414 roads, measuring 864.12 kilometers, over the past three years. He reported a significant reduction in the state's debt profile by 60%, from ₦191 billion in 2023 to less than ₦50 billion by the end of 2025.

Otti mentioned that 82 roads are at different stages of completion, with contracts measuring 212 kilometers. He emphasized fiscal sustainability and transparency in the state's budget management, noting that Abia moved from 17th to 4th place in fiscal ranking.

The governor also highlighted achievements in environmental sanitation, job creation, and healthcare, including the recruitment of 821 healthcare professionals and the retrofitting of 277 primary healthcare centers. He assured continued efforts to enhance human capital development and infrastructure in Abia State.
