Governor Abiodun Celebrates Wife's 60th Birthday in Ogun

During a thanksgiving service held at the Government House Chapel in Abeokuta to celebrate Bamidel Abiodun's 60th birthday on July 16, Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed gratitude for their journey as Ogun State's first family. He remarked that neither he nor his wife ever imagined they would hold this position when they first met nearly 40 years ago.

Abiodun described Bamidel as a virtuous woman with unwavering faith and a steadfast supporter throughout his public service journey. He acknowledged the importance of family and thanked God for preserving them over the past four decades.

The event featured tributes from various dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemid, who noted the significant role of the First Lady as a supportive partner. Other speakers, including Funmi Afuwape and Adebimp Folusho Obienu, praised Bamidel Abiodun for her humanitarian efforts and selfless service to the people of Ogun State.
