CBN and Bankers' Committee Revamp National Arts Theatre to Boost Creative Economy

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bankers' Committee have committed to revitalizing Nigeria's creative economy with the remodeling of the National Arts Theatre in Lagos, costing N68 billion. The reopening event, attended by prominent figures like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasized the significance of private investment in arts and culture.

President Tinubu directed the creation of the National Arts Theatre Endowment Fund to ensure the continuous maintenance of the iconic structure. The initiative aims to boost job creation and accessibility in the arts sector, with a focus on preserving cultural heritage and promoting economic growth through the arts.
