Blessing CEO Granted N20m Bail in N69m Fraud Case

On Thursday, the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja granted social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of N20 million amid her ongoing trial for an alleged N69.15 million fraud. Justice Rahman Oshodi made the ruling after considering her bail application, despite emphasizing the need for the court to evaluate the seriousness of the allegations and the legal penalties involved.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on two counts of stealing and obtaining money by false pretenses. The EFCC accused her of fraudulently obtaining N69,150,000 from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 under the guise of securing a property lease in Lekki, Lagos.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges. During the bail proceedings, the court inquired about her international passport, which her defense counsel stated was lost, supported by an affidavit of loss.

The bail conditions included two sureties, each providing a three-year bank statement or fixed deposit of at least N20 million, and the Nigerian Immigration Service was to be notified of her travel restrictions. The trial is scheduled to continue on October 12, 2026.
