Na’Allah Withdraws from Kebbi APC Senatorial Primaries

Na’Allah formally withdrew from the Kebbi APC senatorial primaries in a letter dated May 17, 2026, addressed to the APC state chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru. He indicated that the outcome of the primaries appeared predetermined, which he found painful.

Na’Allah, a former senator who served as the deputy leader of the 8th Senate, urged constituents to collect contributions to purchase nomination forms. He expressed that the conduct of the primaries was inconsistent with established civil standards of democratic processes and that this would greatly impede the commitment to developing Nigeria's nascent democracy.

Na’Allah has spent 14 years building the APC at both state and federal levels and is a founding member of the party. He appealed for calm and adherence to the law while considering his next steps.

A copy of his withdrawal letter was also sent to the APC national chairman in Abuja and the party's North West zonal vice chairman in Kaduna.
