NAF Strikes Bandits’ Enclave, Rescues 76 Kidnap Victims In Katsina

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted a successful airstrike on the stronghold of notorious bandit kingpin Babaro Pauwa Hill in Kankara, Katsina State, rescuing 76 kidnap victims, mostly women and children. The operation, carried out on Friday evening, targeted the Babaro enclave, a long-feared hub of terror in the region.

According to the State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasiru Mua'zu, the rescue of the victims, with only one child reported dead, marks a decisive step in dismantling the network of bandits responsible for killings, kidnappings, and extortion in rural communities.

The Commissioner commended the gallantry of the NAF, Nigerian Army, and other security agencies involved in the mission, emphasizing the state government's commitment to supporting ongoing operations. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and collaborate with security forces to defeat banditry and achieve lasting stability in the region.
