NAFDAC Destroys N65bn Counterfeit Products in Kano and Oyo

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has destroyed counterfeit, substandard, and expired products worth N65 billion in Kano and Oyo states. The destruction exercise aimed to ban unwholesome pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food products, estimated at N55 billion in Ibadan, Oyo State.

NAFDAC's Director-General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, highlighted the dangers of fake products and the agency's commitment to safeguarding public health. Nantim Dadi Mullah, the Director of NAFDAC's North West Zone, emphasized the importance of ensuring that all products in Nigeria meet stringent safety and quality standards.
