NAFDAC Removes 7,210 Fake Products in Nationwide Sweep

Adeyeye emphasized the importance of scientific evaluation for allegations of counterfeit products, stating that NAFDAC could seize or destroy non-compliant items. Additionally, over 13,740 truckloads of counterfeit products valued at over N1.5 trillion were destroyed in earlier operations.
NAFDAC secured 64 convictions for counterfeiting, with offenders sentenced to one to seven years in prison.
