Nafiu Kumo Seeks Gombe Senate Seat for 2027 Elections

Nafiu Kumo, the Chief of Staff to the Gombe State faction chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has officially obtained a nomination form to contest for the Gombe Central Senate seat in the upcoming 2027 elections. Kumo purchased the form on Tuesday at the party's national secretariat in Abuja, expressing his intention to run with the support of loyalists within the ADC.

His decision to contest is motivated by a desire to provide quality representation for the district and to ensure that political office serves the public trust rather than personal privilege. Kumo emphasized that democracy functions best when citizens are genuinely committed to service and are willing to subject themselves to scrutiny by seeking a mandate from the people.

He aims to leverage his experience to address the challenges faced by the constituency and to offer constituents a clear choice rooted in accountability and transparency.
