NAHCON Approves Five Airlines for 2027 Hajj Operations

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has designated five airlines for the transportation of Nigerian pilgrims during the 2027 Hajj exercise. This decision was announced in a statement on August 13, 2026, after a thorough screening and evaluation conducted by the Aviation Screening Committee.

The approved airlines are Air Peace Limited, Flynas, Max Air Limited, Saudi Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited. NAHCON stated that the engagement of these airlines is contingent upon the signing of airlift agreements with NAHCON and adherence to the requirements set by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

Passenger allocations and airlift schedules will be coordinated with various State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and other operators. Additionally, each pilgrim is permitted one checked bag weighing up to 32 kilograms and one hand luggage of 8 kilograms.

NAHCON urged all stakeholders to collaborate with the designated airlines to ensure a smooth and safe airlift operation for the pilgrims.
