NAHCON Sets 2027 Hajj Fares and Payment Deadlines

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, which range from ₦7.56 million to ₦7.88 million depending on the departure zones. Pilgrims departing from Maiduguri and Yola will pay ₦7,560,822, while those from other parts of the northern zone will pay ₦7,672,822.

The highest fare of ₦7,882,822 applies to intending pilgrims from the southern zone. These fares were determined after consultations with relevant stakeholders and consider factors such as exchange rates and service costs.

NAHCON has set a September 26, 2026, deadline for the complete upload of biometric data on the Saudi-approved Nusuk-Masar digital platform, emphasizing that this deadline will not be extended. Additionally, states must complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026, with NAHCON warning that failure to meet this deadline could affect the processing of allocated slots for pilgrims.
