NAHCON Enhances Hajj Services for 2026 Pilgrimage

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), led by Chairman/CEO Ismail Abba, is taking proactive steps to improve the delivery of pilgrimage services for the upcoming 2026 Hajj. During a strategic meeting in Abuja with Mashariq Aldhahabiya, represented by its board chairman Mr.

Moham Andangiri, the commission outlined its commitment to resolving challenges faced during the 2025 Hajj. Key issues identified included data mismatches, flight manifest discrepancies, and accommodation allocation problems that disrupted the pilgrimage process.

To address these, NAHCON plans to prioritize a strict visa process timeline, ensure accurate data uploads, and verify accommodation contracts before departure. Additionally, the commission will intensify compliance checks at departure centers to ensure that flight manifests align with approved records.

A joint situation room will be established to provide real-time updates and swiftly address operational issues, forming part of NAHCON's broader strategy to ensure a smooth Hajj operation for Nigerian pilgrims.
