NAHCON Engages Clerics for Pilgrims' Education Ahead of Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), led by Chairman Ismail Abba, convened a meeting in Abuja with 120 prominent Islamic clerics to discuss the education and spiritual guidance of pilgrims in preparation for the 2026 Hajj. Hajiya Fatima Usara, Deputy Director of the Information Public Division at NAHCON, issued a statement regarding the commission's commitment to enhancing pilgrim education.

The clerics included notable figures such as Prof. Mansur Ibrahim and Sheikh Bala Lau.

The primary focus of the meeting was to task the Ulama with supporting NAHCON in conducting intensive sensitization sessions in multiple languages during Hajj. This initiative aims to equip pilgrims with a clear understanding of the essential aspects of Hajj rites to ensure they perform their religious obligations correctly.

Additionally, the Ulama team will organize special prayer sessions, particularly during Arafat, to pray for national security, unity, peace, and economic prosperity.
