NAHCON Slashes 2026 Hajj Fares in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia Reduces Pilgrim Slots

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a significant reduction in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage fares, showing empathy towards Nigerian Muslims facing financial challenges. The move follows a plea from Vice President Kashim Shettima to ease the burden on intending pilgrims.

The new fare structure will see reductions ranging from N748,000 to N793,000, depending on the pilgrim's departure zone. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has reduced the slots for Nigerian pilgrims to 66,910 for 2026 due to Nigeria's inability to utilize previous slots in 2024 and 2025.
