NAHCON Praises Tinubu's Directive to Cut 2026 Hajj Cost, Bringing Relief to Pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) praised President Bola Tinubu's directive to reduce the 2026 Hajj cost, calling it timely and thoughtful. The commission highlighted the relief this would bring to intending pilgrims, emphasizing the government's responsiveness to people's concerns.

NAHCON also commended the government's call for State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards to take advantage of the current Naira appreciation by making early remittances. This move is seen as a practical solution to the economic challenges faced by pilgrims.

Chairman Abdullahi Saleh Usman described the directive as a reflection of genuine empathy towards the financial strain many Muslims face in fulfilling the sacred pilgrimage.
