Naija Girl Tech Launches Female Training Program in Nigeria

Naija Girl Tech is set to launch its first female training program aimed at addressing the gender gap in technology across Nigeria and Africa. The initiative will recruit 150 female student ambassadors from universities and polytechnics across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

These ambassadors will lead digital literacy campaigns and technology advocacy projects within their campuses and local communities. The program, which is free and open to undergraduate students and NYSC members, is structured as a nine-month fellowship designed to equip young women with leadership experience, mentorship, and practical opportunities in Nigeria's growing technology ecosystem.

Selected ambassadors will receive an official Naija Girl Tech ambassador certificate and a LinkedIn recommendation upon successful completion. Applications for the program will close on June 20, with early applicants enjoying first review benefits.

The initiative aims to create a nationwide network of young women to drive inclusive leadership and innovation at the grassroots level.
