'Naija Girls in Tech' Initiative Aims to Close Gender Gap in Nigerian Tech Sector

The 'Naija Girls in Tech' (NGIT) initiative, led by founder and CEO Olufunmilayo Ogunwo Adesanya, focuses on empowering Nigerian girls and young women in technology to address the gender gap in the digital sector. The initiative aims to provide training, mentorship, and real-world exposure to at least 100,000 girls and young women by 2030.

By equipping them with relevant digital skills, NGIT seeks to foster inclusive leadership and contribute meaningfully to the local and global digital economy. The initiative targets girls and young women aged 16-35, including those from marginalized communities and those transitioning to tech-related roles.
