Namdas Declares Candidacy for Adamawa Governorship 2027

Namdas, a former spokesperson for the House of Representatives and former chairman of the House Committee on Army, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He announced his candidacy and submitted his nomination form, expressing confidence in his ability to transition from the legislative to the executive arm of government, citing his eight years of experience in the National Assembly as a solid foundation.

Namdas noted that his decision to re-enter the race stems from lessons learned during his previous governorship attempt in 2023. He aims to address concerns regarding potential ethnic imposition of candidates within the party, assuring that APC leaders at both national and state levels have committed to a transparent and fair process.

He emphasized the importance of competition in democracy and expressed optimism about securing the party's ticket and ultimately winning the governorship election.
