NANS Lists 39 Institutions Failing to Refund NELFUND Fees

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has listed 39 tertiary institutions across Nigeria that have yet to refund students who paid tuition fees through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). NANS President Akintey Babatund announced this on Wednesday via a statement shared on social media.

The institutions listed have already received tuition payments from NELFUND on behalf of eligible beneficiaries but have failed to reimburse the students. The public disclosure of these institutions aims to promote transparency and ensure that affected students recover their funds without unnecessary delays.

The institutions identified include Adamawa State University, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Federal College of Education Yola, Kaduna State Polytechnic, Ogun State Institute of Technology, and several others. NANS urged the listed institutions to begin the refund process immediately, stressing that students who have already paid their tuition should not bear the financial burden associated with this issue.
