NAPTIP Rescues Woman from Domestic Abuse in Abuja

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) successfully rescued a 36-year-old woman from domestic abuse in Asokoro, Abuja. The agency's rapid response squad acted on credible information regarding the incident, identifying the suspect as Mr.

Godwin, a 48-year-old man and the victim's husband. The couple had been married for 22 years, during which the victim reportedly suffered physical assault.

Following the rescue, NAPTIP moved the victim to a safe environment and commenced necessary care and support procedures. The agency reiterated its commitment to addressing domestic violence and protecting the dignity and safety of individuals across the country.

NAPTIP also called on the public to report cases of domestic violence and related offenses for prompt intervention.
