NAqF Prepares Swimmers for 2026 Commonwealth Games

The Nigeria Aquatic Federation (NAqF), under the leadership of President Lekan Fatodu, is preparing a quartet of swimmers for the 2026 Commonwealth Games scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2. The selected swimmers, Abduljabar Adama, Clinton Oput, Collin Ebinga, and Dorca Oka, are currently in the final phase of their training camp in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Fatodu emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and discipline, urging the athletes to represent Nigeria with courage and determination. He expressed confidence in the team's readiness and highlighted the training camp in Aberdeen as an ideal environment for the swimmers to sharpen their skills.

Fatodu reaffirmed NAqF's commitment to supporting the growth of aquatic sports in Nigeria, viewing the Commonwealth Games as an opportunity for Nigerian swimmers to demonstrate their progress and compete against the world's best. The team aims to deliver podium finishes, which would inspire future generations of swimmers in Nigeria.
