Nasarawa Amazons and El-Kanemi Warriors Win Federation Cup

The 2026 Federation Cup finals took place at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, where Nasarawa Amazons and El-Kanemi Warriors emerged victorious in their respective matches. The Amazons faced Illustri FC and, after a scoreless first half, advanced to a penalty shootout, winning 6-5 in sudden death.

Coach Chizoba Johnson led the Amazons, with Judith Adaobi playing a crucial role in the penalty shootout. In the men's final, El-Kanemi Warriors defeated Ikorodu Citi, with Muktari Ismail converting a penalty in the first half to secure the trophy.

Despite Ikorodu Citi's spirited efforts, El-Kanemi Warriors claimed victory and earned a ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup, alongside Shooting Stars from Ibadan, who finished third in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
