Adamu Returns Guber Forms, Downplays Sule's Endorsement

Former Inspector General of Police, Adamu, has returned his gubernatorial nomination forms for the Nasarawa State elections, while downplaying the endorsement of Aliyu Wadada by the current governor, Abdullahi Sule. In a statement to journalists, Adamu responded to questions regarding whether he felt threatened by Sule's preference for Wadada, asserting that political endorsements are personal choices and the ultimate decision lies with the electorate.

He highlighted that the people of Nasarawa may not prefer Wadada and emphasized the need for calm and democratic engagement. Adamu identified restoring peace and safety as primary objectives for the elections, arguing that without a stable environment, economic progress remains unattainable.

He underscored the importance of physical and human security, stating that his administration would focus on building a solid foundation for security to facilitate broader economic development. Adamu concluded by noting that his campaign team is actively engaging grassroots support across the state in preparation for the primaries.
