Nasarawa Governor Endorses Senator Wadada as Successor

On Thursday, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State announced his preferred successor, Senator Wadada, during a political meeting attended by various stakeholders. The selection process involved wide consultations with foreign investors, youth groups, women organizations, traditional rulers, and party officials across the state's three senatorial zones.

Sule highlighted that three aspirants were deemed capable of winning the election after thorough assessments. He urged unity among party members to support the chosen candidate and emphasized the need for equitable distribution of electoral positions.

Sule also expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, noting its impressive performance in Nasarawa. The governor's endorsement of Wadada was supported by other aspirants, who agreed to back the preferred candidate.

The meeting also addressed the adoption of direct primaries for the party, allowing registered members to freely contest elections.
