APC Chieftains Allege Rigging in Nasarawa Primaries

Prominent chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, including Zamani Daniel and Ibrahim Tukur, have expressed serious concerns regarding alleged large-scale rigging in the party's primaries. They have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene to ensure a credible electoral process.

The chieftains accused the current governor, Abdullahi Sule, of compromising party officials and intimidating them to secure the nomination for his preferred candidate, Ahmad Wadada. They emphasized the need for a fair primary election and urged the national secretariat of the APC to draft fresh electoral officials instead of relying on those accused of lacking moral courage.

The chieftains also highlighted that the governor has been pressuring local party officials not to oppose his stance in the governorship race, raising alarms about the integrity of the electoral process in the state.
