APC Group Questions Integrity of Nasarawa Primaries

The Nasarawa APC Integr Forum has raised concerns regarding the integrity of the upcoming primaries in Nasarawa, stating that local officials cannot be trusted to conduct free and fair elections. The group, led by Zamani Daniel Ibrahim Tukur, accused Governor Abdullahi Sule of exerting pressure on party officials at various levels to manipulate the electoral process.

They alleged that results were prearranged ahead of time and that clandestine meetings were held involving Sule, Senator Ahm Wadada, and others to discuss strategies that undermine democratic principles. The forum called for external oversight to ensure a level playing field in the primaries, emphasizing the need for impartiality and high moral standards among officials.

They urged President Bola Tinubu and the national chairman of the APC to intervene and uphold democratic values, warning against any attempts to rig the primaries and stressing that party members should freely choose their candidates.
