NSCDC Arrests Two for Illegal Firearms in Nasarawa

On March 23, 2026, the Nasarawa State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested two male suspects, Sumaka Nomsoor, 55, from Angwatashi, and Adam Paul, 34, from Angwan Ganga, in the Obi Local Government Area. The arrests were made following an intelligence-driven operation aimed at curbing the proliferation of illegal firearms and criminal activities within the state.

Brah Samson Umoru, the command's spokesperson, emphasized the NSCDC's commitment to ensuring public safety and protecting lives and property. He urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities.

The suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing, with plans to charge them in a competent court upon conclusion of the investigation.
