NSCDC Arrests Railway Vandals in Nasarawa State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has successfully arrested two individuals, Moham Sale, 21, and Moham Mailafiya, 43, for their involvement in vandalizing railway lines in Nasarawa State. The arrests were made in Agyaragu Village, Lafia Local Government Area, following credible information about ongoing illegal activities in the area.

Brah Samson Umoru, the NSCDC State Commandant, disclosed this during a press briefing on Saturday. He highlighted the importance of the operation in preventing further damage to critical railway infrastructure and reiterated the NSCDC's commitment to safeguarding national assets.

This operation comes shortly after the command apprehended five notorious railway vandals and recovered 33 cut rail materials. Umoru warned that the NSCDC would not relent in its efforts to rid Nasarawa State of criminal elements, especially as the election period approaches, cautioning that the command is prepared to address any attempts to disrupt peace and security.
