NASENI Empowers 2,000 Households in Kano with Clean Energy

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) launched its Sustainable Empowerment Program in Kano State on April 28, 2026, benefiting 2,000 households. The program aims to provide clean and reliable energy solutions, including clean cookstoves and solar home systems, to reduce the impact of climate change.

The event was attended by thousands of men and women, with notable remarks from the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwol, who emphasized the program's alignment with Nigeria's industrial trade and investment agenda.

Khalil Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, highlighted the initiative's role in empowering households, improving quality of life, and supporting families' futures. The program is part of a broader national effort to build a cleaner and healthier Nigeria, focusing on local product inclusion and economic growth, particularly significant for Kano, a major commercial manufacturing hub in West Africa.
