Khalil Halilu Wins Blueprint Newspapers’ CEO Award 2025

Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), was awarded the CEO of the Year 2025 Award by Blueprint Newspapers Limited. The award was presented during the eighth edition of the Blueprint Newspaper Public Lecture, Impact Series and Awards on August 18, 2026, at the Shettima Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Zainab Suleiman-Okino, Chairman of the Editorial Board of Blueprint Newspapers, recognized Halilu for his innovative leadership in technology, engineering, and industrial development. Dr. Mrs. Nonyem Onyechi, the Coordinating Director of Planning and Business Development at NASENI, accepted the award on Halilu's behalf, expressing gratitude for the recognition.

The award reflects NASENI's efforts under Halilu's leadership to commercialize research outcomes, promote local manufacturing, and support enterprises that create jobs and reduce reliance on imported technologies. Halilu has focused on Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialisation, emphasizing turning research into marketable products.
