Atiku's Aide Calls for Tinubu's Impeachment Over Vacation

Paul Ibe, a media aide to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, has called for the impeachment of President Bola Tinubu. Ibe's demand is based on Tinubu's failure to inform the National Assembly about his extended working vacation in Europe, which he argues contravenes the Nigerian constitution.

He referenced Section 151, which stipulates that the president must transmit a written declaration to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives when proceeding on vacation or unable to perform his duties. Ibe noted that Tinubu had been on leave in London and later in Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, and had extended his vacation beyond the 21-day limit without proper notification.

In response, presidential aide Daniel Bwala stated that Tinubu is capable of governing Nigeria from any location worldwide.
