NASS Launches Ultra-Modern Newsroom for Transparency

The National Assembly (NASS) has unveiled an ultra-modern newsroom designed to enhance transparency and improve public engagement. During the commissioning ceremony, Clerk Kamoru Ogunlana described the newsroom as a strategic step towards strengthening institutional efficiency.

He highlighted the importance of staff welfare and the need to build capacity within the organization, referring to employees as the backbone of the institution. Ogunlana called for a cultural shift among staff to maintain the integrity of the institution.

Ali Umaru, the Secretary of Research and Information, noted that the newsroom represents a significant milestone for the legislature, emphasizing that it is not merely a physical structure but a strategic capacity for communication. The initiative aims to improve information management and document legislative activities, thereby deepening public engagement and reflecting the dignity of democratic governance in Nigeria.
