APC Allegedly Reserves Nomination Forms for Incumbents

Umar Jijiwa, the director of the Jagaban Network, made allegations during a Tuesday interview on a prime time program that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is reserving nomination forms exclusively for those already in power. He stated that the APC's national working committee has not issued nomination forms to anyone outside their team, indicating that those in power are favored to remain in their positions.

Jijiwa criticized the practice, asserting that it prevents new candidates from entering the race and suggests that the party is not genuinely interested in broadening its candidate pool. He expressed concern that the current situation allows individuals to anoint themselves without fair competition, which he believes undermines the democratic process within the party.
