Lagos Police Launch Health Outreach on National Police Day

On National Police Day, the Lagos State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai, initiated a large-scale sanitation exercise and free medical outreach across the state. The activities commenced on Monday and were designed to deepen community engagement and reinforce public trust in the police.

The sanitation exercise spanned fourteen area commands, promoting cleaner and healthier communities. Simultaneously, a comprehensive medical outreach was held at Computer Village, one of Lagos's busiest commercial hubs, providing a wide range of free healthcare services, including medical check-ups, health education, counseling, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, hepatitis screenings, eye examinations, and the distribution of essential medications.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to not only maintain law and order but also contribute to public health and environmental sustainability. SP Abimbola Adebisi, the police public relations officer, noted that the outreach comes at a time of rising healthcare costs, reaffirming the police's dedication to serving the community.
