Abuja Police Officers Clean Streets for National Police Day

On National Police Day, police officers in Abuja engaged in a street cleaning exercise, which was part of a community outreach initiative aimed at improving public perception of the police. The exercise took place near a motor park and adjacent market, where officers swept the streets, cleared refuse, and interacted with residents.

The initiative was endorsed by Ahm Sanusi, the Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, and was part of a broader program approved by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to foster closer ties between the police and civilian communities. Residents, including Saliu Aliyu, expressed appreciation for the officers' efforts, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in strengthening relationships between citizens and the police.

The outreach program also included medical services and environmental sanitation efforts, reflecting the police's commitment to serving the public in a friendly manner and addressing security issues collaboratively.
