PFN Denies Link to Adeboye in Nationwide Prayer Program

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has issued a statement rejecting allegations that a recent nationwide prayer program was linked to Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Bishop David Bakar, the PFN's secretary, described these claims as false and misleading.

He emphasized that the prayer initiative was entirely conceived and executed by the PFN, with no involvement from Pastor Adeboye or the RCCG. The program coincided with the global observance of Pentecost, which is celebrated by Christians worldwide.

Bakar noted that while RCCG churches participated, they did so in compliance with the PFN's directives, and the initiative was under the full control of the PFN leadership. The PFN called on Christians in Nigeria to reject misinformation and support unity and peace in the nation, especially in light of rising concerns over insecurity and economic hardship ahead of the 2027 elections.
