PFN Protests Insecurity, Urges Tinubu for Support

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) organized a protest against the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek external support. PFN President Bishop Francis Wale Oke stated that the security situation has reached an intolerable level, with banditry, kidnapping, and communal violence spreading across various states, including Oyo, Kwara, Taraba, Plateau, Benue, Southern Kaduna, and Borno.

Reverend Elkanah Enweluzor, the PFN Kano chapter chairman, lamented the severe plight faced by communities, referencing unresolved cases such as the abduction of Chibok girls and the killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto. The PFN accused the government of recruiting repentant Boko Haram insurgents into the armed forces and warned that the police are undermining national security.

The fellowship called for a united nationwide prayer effort and firm actions to halt the attacks threatening lives and peace in the nation.
