Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori Dedicates "Governor of the Year" Award to Deltans

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was honored with the "Governor of the Year" award at the 18th Leadership Conference in Abuja. The award, presented by Leadership Newspaper, acknowledged his administration's development-focused agenda and significant progress in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and human capital development.

Governor Oborevwori expressed gratitude for the recognition and attributed the award to the support of the people of Delta State. The ceremony, attended by high-profile dignitaries including First Lady of Nigeria Oluremi Tinubu and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, highlighted Governor Oborevwori's achievements in executing numerous road and bridge projects aimed at enhancing rural connectivity and stimulating economic growth across the state.

The event also recognized five other governors for their outstanding leadership in infrastructure transformation, fiscal discipline, and security improvements.
