NAWIS Inaugurates Ekiti State Chapter to Empower Women

The Nigerian Association of Women in Sports (NAWIS) inaugurated its Ekiti State chapter, marking a significant milestone in promoting women's participation in sports. The event took place at the Ekiti State University auditorium, with notable attendees including Hajia Hadiza Ahmad, the Vice President of the Board, and Professor Emeritus Florence Adeyanju, the founder of NAWIS.

Dr. Adefunk Aina was sworn in as the chairperson of the newly established executive committee, which aims to enhance the welfare of its members and address issues affecting girls in sports.

The committee includes Mr. O.M.

Adeyemo as assistant chairman, Mr. Adediran as assistant chairman II, Mr.

M.O. Adeoy as secretary, and several other members in key roles.

The inauguration emphasizes NAWIS's commitment to advocacy, creating opportunities, and empowering young girls to reach their potential in sports across Ekiti State.
