NBA Demands Immediate Release of Abducted Lawyer Eunic Ameh

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under the leadership of President Afam Osigwe, has urgently demanded the release of Eunic Ameh, a lawyer and member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who was reportedly kidnapped in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. Osigwe described Ameh's disappearance as deeply disturbing for the legal community, emphasizing the emotional toll on colleagues and families of missing persons.

He appealed to the Inspector General of Police to intensify efforts for Ameh's safe return, urging the deployment of necessary tactical intelligence resources. The NBA president highlighted the anxiety and hope shared by families and friends of missing individuals, stressing that every effort counts in such cases.

Reports indicate that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N20 million for Ameh's release. At the time of her abduction, she had recently resumed work at Blade Butcher Ltd and was nearing the completion of her NYSC program.
